Welcome to the Big Dog Ferry

Here you will find out more about us, our (unique) boat, our timetable etc.

Covering one of the most attractive and unspoilt stretches of the River Waveney from the quiet market town of Beccles, we travel west towards the unique riverside pub at Geldeston. See if you can spot the kingfishers, marsh harrier and otters en route along the Waveney Valley. The boat trip takes approx 45 minutes each way.

The return journey will bring you back to our landing stage next to the Beccles Lido.

The boat:
It’s an open boat, seating 10, but wet weather gear is available.

The timetable:
It’s a list of times we try to keep to, but may vary at short notice due to weather and tide conditions.
